Alison (she/her) grew up in Cary, NC and has always had a passion for fitness. Growing up with two active older brothers and a love for soccer sparked her passion for movement. Alison attended college at Appalachian State University, studying Psychology and Exercise Science. When not in class, Alison spent her time hiking with friends, engaging in campus group fitness classes, and attempting to learn to snowboard. Upon graduating, Alison moved back to Raleigh for a year prior to returning to school for her Masters in Occupational Therapy in Columbia, SC. While in SC, Alison grew her knowledge for programming and exercise by engaging in all forms of fitness, including CrossFit, OrangeTheory, hot yoga, and running. Alison has been back in the triangle for 2 years now, working as an Occupational Therapist for adults who are hospitalized at Duke.
Alison strives to be an advocate for others and to encourage others to be the most authentic version of themselves as possible. She hopes that in her personal training sessions, the client feels safe using their voice to assist with curating the sessions and have fun while engaging in movement!
When not at Current, Alison can be found beebopping around the Triangle with her dog, Romeo, spending time with friends and family, and spending time outdoors (as long as it’s not below 50 degrees).
