Kaya Luciani

Kaya (she/her) is a 200 Hour Trauma Informed Yoga Instructor through Yoga Alliance and a Size Inclusive Fitness Specialist through SITA. Originally from upstate NY, she moved to Raleigh in 2021 after receiving her Bachelor’s in Exercise Science from the University at Buffalo. When she’s not teaching, you will most likely find her with a group of friends trying a new restaurant in Raleigh, or on the couch digging into an episode of her current TV series fixation (most recently the Sopranos)!
Kaya’s journey with yoga began many years ago with local hot power yoga, a space that left her feeling strong, brave and sweaty. She found prowess and vitality on her yoga mat, feelings that were empowering enough to keep her coming back for more. It wasn’t until her trauma-informed yoga teacher training in 2019 that she shifted away from the hot yoga excitement and into a gentler style and environment where she found deep awareness and understanding of herself and her body.
Today, Kaya strives to bring the same feeling of empowerment and vitality she received years ago to a safe, inclusive space that nurtures her students’ relationship with and awareness of their bodies. To her, yoga is a practice of paying attention; a time to learn, grow and FEEL GOOD. She welcomes you to join her and see what this is all about.
