Forest Blizard

Staff

Forest (they/them) joined Current Wellness to cultivate community and reclaim their movement journey from forceful to joyful. They are excited to be a part of the Current Wellness team! In addition to being an enthusiastic member, they are a wellness coordinator. In their time at Current, they have shown up authentically—something that has been challenging for them in the past. By being authentic in their life and at Current, they hope to empower others to show up as they are, too.

In March 2025, Forest completed their 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. They are deeply interested in yogic philosophy and live by the Yama Ahimsa, or non-violence. To them, this means holding themselves gently and kindly. Forest believes that being gentle and listening to your body’s needs is powerful during movement.

In their free time, you can find them at local coffee shops, parks, and nature trails. Starting in January 2026, they will be attending NCSU’s Agricultural Institute, pursuing a two-year horticulture degree. They also hope to become a therapeutic horticulture practitioner one day. Forest believes in the power of joyful movement, nature, community, and playfulness. They are excited to share their passions and continue fostering community at Current Wellness.
