Julia Carter is a HAES-informed fitness instructor and trainer, athlete, and long distance runner who deeply believes that movement is for every body. She’s a New York transplant who first relocated to North Carolina for the weather, but stayed for the community.
Julia’s ever-evolving relationship with movement has influenced her passion for fat liberation and the anti-diet movement, and helped her improve her mental wellness, build community, and foster healthy expressions of joy. As a fitness trainer and wellness mentor, Julia hopes to help others discover joyful movement, and focus on positive expressions of wellness.
Julia is a Size Inclusive Fitness Specialist through SITA and ACE and is currently seeking her NASM Personal Trainer certification. Currently, she works as a longtime Content Writer and Social Media Strategist, with plans to return to school to pursue a career in therapy starting this fall.
In her spare time, Julia enjoys cooking and baking, exploring new places with her husband and dog, long runs in nature, writing, and watching campy horror movies.
