Kristen (she/her) has been part of the Raleigh area for over 10 years and loves the City of Oaks. She graduated from NC State University with a degree in Biological Engineering. While a student at NC State, she became active in group fitness. In her freshman year, she developed a love for movement through yoga classes. Soon after, she was hired by NC State University Recreation as a group fitness instructor. She taught several modalities including HIIT and yoga. Kristen has continued her love for movement of all forms and found a passion with strength training and functional movement.
In Kristen’s classes, you can expect to feel grounded, strong, supported, and widely capable with a sense of community. Her goal is to spread the message of radical acceptance towards wellness and strength regardless of our differences. It is important to her to build and nourish a space where everyone is accepted for exactly who they are. Outside of teaching, Kristen can be found working in Downtown Raleigh as an engineer, diving into a good book, or lifting weights at the local gym.
