Caitlin Greenstein, PT, DPT, OCS
Dr. Caitlin Greenstein, PT, DPT, OCS (she/her) has been a physical therapist since 2010 after receiving her Clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from Ithaca College in 2009. She enrolled in a post-graduate orthopedic residency program which prepared her for a nationally recognized board exam to receive her certification as an Orthopedic Specialist (OCS). This is a certification held by less than 10% of physical therapists in the United States.
Caitlin also trained in the practice of Trigger Point Dry Needling starting in 2015 which has further developed her clinical expertise. Caitlin particularly enjoys treating patients with chronic pain syndromes and utilizes a highly researched pain science approach. She believes in empowering her patients through education combined with highly skilled manual therapy to achieve ultimate fulfillment and participation in life.
In addition, Caitlin has an extensive background in dance and can offer specialized care to dancers. She herself danced for 16 years and was a member of a nationally ranked dance team. Caitlin has also served as a dance instructor, dance team coach, and choreographer. Her passion for dance is what led her towards a career in physical therapy. She recognizes that dancers are a unique cohort that benefit from her knowledge and experience as both a PT and former dancer.
Caitlin also has a special interest in athletes at both the novice and elite level and can offer movement screening for those wanting to increase their athletic abilities. She treats these individuals with the goal to modify rather then eliminate exercise regimens throughout the course of their physical therapy care.
