Cassie Phillips, LCMHC, ATRP

Cassie Phillips (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Art Therapist, in practice since 2019. Cassie has worked in various settings, including community-based mental health, inpatient hospitals, PHP/IOP, and private practice, which she started in 2023. This is a second career for Cassie, and throughout her years as a therapist, she’s observed how her previous experiences (as a photographer and long-time service industry member) contribute to how she connects with people. Cassie entered the field of mental health as an artist who learned about Art Therapy and hasn't looked back.
While modalities such as ACT, CBT, ERP, and DBT are invaluable in and out of sessions, Cassie is also interested in alternative healing methods like art and yoga, including the capacity for creativity, the mind-body connection, and physiological symptoms of stress and anxiety. Cassie completed a Yoga Teacher Training (200-hour) in early 2025 to better facilitate understanding of how to "befriend" the body for those of us who feel lost and disconnected. Her approach is holistic and she provides a compassionate, collaborative, and non-judgmental perspective while working to understand how societal expectations can contribute to distress. Cassie values curiosity, transparency, humor, and validation to support identifying barriers, naming emotions, tolerating distress, and moving toward the life you want to be living.
