My name is Jenny (she/her) and I am a licensed psychologist who provides individual therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. I received my PhD in clinical psychology from UNC-Greensboro and completed my clinical internship at the UNC School of Medicine. I provide therapy for anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, depression, and stress by using evidence based strategies such as cognitive behavioral therapy. I approach my work with both humor and compassion, with the hope that we can build a strong therapeutic alliance and plan treatment collaboratively.
One of my areas of specialty is in working with children, adolescents, and their parents. I know it can feel nerve-wracking to put your child’s mental healthcare in someone else’s hands. As a parent myself, I take the responsibility of working with someone’s child very seriously. It truly takes a village to raise a child and I am honored when parents invite me into that village to support their family. I have experience helping children and adolescents who are struggling with depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, stress, school problems, and other issues. I also provide parent consultation to help parents learn ways they can manage their child’s challenging behavior or support their child’s mental health treatment. I have specialized training in working with pediatric patients coping with chronic illnesses such as diabetes and disorders of gut brain interaction and supporting them and their families with the unique challenges they may face.
