Q: What is your specialty?

A: “I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Orthopedic Certified Specialist. I really love to work with patients with spinal problems and issues with the foot/ankle. I also have a special interest in dancers as I myself was a dancer for 16 years of my life. They have unique needs and I find that having a background in dance really supports the type of care they need”

Q: What inspires you the most to continue with this career?

A: “I want to give patients a better experience  than what is typically provided by the medical community. From my 12 years of practice, it has been proven that movement is medicine and helps people relieve pain as well as staying healthy in other aspects of their lives.  We need to treat the whole person rather than the specific ailment”

Q: What is the best part about working with clients?

A: “I thoroughly enjoy getting to know my patients and the connection I have with them really motivates me to continue with my practice. Getting to be a part of all of my patients' lives is very special to me as well. I recognize that what I do for them within the treatment room influences the way they can approach their unique lives outside of these four walls.”

Q: What does a session working with you look like?

A: "On the first day, I will thoroughly go through the patient's history and perform assessments and objective testing. Based on this information, I will then create an individualized plan for each person.

For follow up visits, there will be more in depth hands-on treatment and intentional movement/exercises. I am constantly reassessing to check that progress is being made! My patients receive quite a bit of education as well to understand their problem and learn management strategies to create self sufficiency for long term recovery."

Q: Do you have a certain age group you work with?

A: “The most common age range is 30-50 years old, but I would love to work with adolescents as well.”

Q: Why should patients seek you?

A: “I’ve found that I am a very good diagnostician and I can really hone in on the problem on day one. Being able to do that allows me to reduce symptoms in a small number of visits. Then the real work begins to prevent future occurrence!”

Q: How can clients learn more about you?

A: “Go to my website or find me on Instagram @beyond_physicaltherapy”
